Best Scottsdale Spots for an In-Home or Hotel Boudoir Session

OMKD Boudoir doesn’t have a studio. Every session is on location, which means the space is part of your photos. Here’s how to choose the right one in Scottsdale, whether that’s your own home, a hotel suite or an Airbnb.
1. Your own home
Home is often the best choice. Most clients relax faster somewhere familiar, and in-home sessions have no location cost. A bedroom with a large window, a bathroom with a soaking tub, or a living room with a sofa or chaise can all work beautifully. Tidy surfaces and plain bedding go a long way.
2. A resort or hotel suite
Scottsdale is known for its resorts and boutique hotels, and a suite gives you a polished, luxurious backdrop and a sense of occasion. Look for a room with large windows, light walls and enough floor space to move around the bed. Book the room directly in your name. If you choose The Flame or The Inferno, I’ll help you pick one with great natural light.
3. An Airbnb or vacation rental
Rentals around Old Town Scottsdale, Paradise Valley and the north Scottsdale desert range from modern lofts to homes with character. Check the listing photos for window size and direction, and read the house rules to make sure photography is allowed. I’m happy to look at listings with you before you book.
What to look for in any space
- Big windows. Sessions use natural light, so window light matters more than decor.
- Light, neutral walls and bedding. They bounce soft light back onto you.
- Room to move. Space around the bed, a chair or chaise, a mirror or a tub gives us more setups.
- Privacy. It’s just you and me (or a friend you bring), so choose somewhere you won’t be interrupted.
Timing
Arizona sun is strong, so we’ll plan the time of day around how the light falls in your room. Soft, indirect window light is the goal.
